Under the hood, file2markdown is powered by Microsoft MarkItDown (MIT License), an open-source library built to handle real-world document conversion at scale.

What we support

Over 15 formats including PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, HTML, EPUB, CSV, JSON, XML, JPG, PNG, and more. We are constantly adding support for new formats.

Privacy first

Your files are processed in memory and never stored on our servers. Once conversion is complete, the file data is discarded. We do not read, analyze, or share your content.
